Dee's Alaska Adventure

On the road again! We left Shelly and Philip's house this morning at 9 am. Sad to leave my grand kids. They are such sweeties! They definitely take after their grandma! We saw 4 moose today, all right by or in the road. One little calf moose. Saw 4 black bears including a fat little cub and one big grizzly bear that we watched eat for 10 minutes or so from the car. I rolled down the window and called him names to see if I could get him mad so he would come a little closer, but he just looked at me. Trash talking must not bother grizzlies much or he didn't understand English. Rained most of the day and none of us were to excited about setting up camp in the rain but about an hour before we got here to the camp we were planning on the sun came out and is absolutely beautiful. We are on the shores of Klaune Lake and at the foot of the St Elias Mts. All snow covered. We drove 450 miles today and are going to drive about 500 tomorrow. Tough to get a lot of miles because these two ladies want to stop at every rest stop!
